Image privacy: a quick guide
How it works, supported formats and file limits
Remove photo metadata and cover private details before sharing.
Check for location and other hidden details
Check JPG, PNG or WebP metadata, including GPS when present. Remove fields or whole blocks. Metadata-only edits preserve encoded picture data where supported.
Hide a face, name or private detail
Mark an area and choose blur, pixelation or a solid cover. Use solid covers for secrets; blur can leave details readable. Edits save as a flattened PNG.
Getting started
- Choose your photo and check its metadata.
- Select what to remove and cover any visible details you want to hide.
- Press Apply & download to save all your changes together.
Formats and limits
- Open supported images including HEIC, AVIF and TIFF, up to 30 MB, 24 megapixels and 8,192 pixels per side.
- Individual metadata removal supports JPG, PNG and WebP. Other supported images can be redacted or saved as a clean PNG.
- Redacted exports are still PNG images. Only the first frame or page is kept from animated or multipage inputs.
